Steve Kolowich reports in the Chronicle of Higher Education that MOOCs face numerous barriers (political, regulatory, etc.) that may well prevent them from having a revolutionary impact on higher education, they are resulting in a new wave of technology platforms, tools, and services that will benefit universities.
